Upon graduation from Michigan State University in 1991, Ken went to work for the local Smith and Nephew Donjoy Distributor. He covered the southeastern part of the state of Michigan from 1991-2001. His rapid success in this area allowed him to acquire the distribution rights to Michigan, Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio from DJ Orthopedics in the year 2001.

Ken has been the recipient of multiple national awards from every manufacturer he has represented. A charismatic leader, Ken has demonstrated his exceptional talent at putting together and motivating cohesive, dedicated teams.

Dave is a native of Chicago Illinois and has 25 years of experience in the areas of information technology, finance, and supply chain. He has also worked in the following industries: horticulture, medical devices, and most recently custom automotive.

Dave resides in Grand Ledge with his wife (Andrea) and 13 year old daughter (Gwenyth). For fun, you can fine Dave snowmobiling during the winter, boating in the summer, and spending time with family and friends.

Curtis Gemmel comes to Miotech Orthopedics with 5 years of Medical Sales experience, all with the Donjoy distributor in Chicago. Prior to that, Curtis worked for 4 years as a Logistics Consultant for Fortune 300 company CH Robinson. In 1999, Curtis earned his BA in Finance from Michigan State University. While attending MSU, he was a four year varsity letter winner for the MSU Hockey Team, winning two CCHA championships and going to the final four his senior season. Curtis lives in the Okemos area with his wife Kelly and 1 year old son Campbell.

Chad is joining us after ending his ten-year professional hockey career, which allowed him to play at various levels, domestically and internationally. He earned a four-year hockey scholarship to Michigan State University where he studied Kinesiology. While at MSU he was an All American, Male Athlete of the Year and a Hobey Baker runner-up.

Chad is eager to transition into a new career that will allow him to use his competitive edge and life experiences. He now resides in Grosse Ile, Michigan with his wife, Lesley and two kids, Skylar (6) and Vann (2). In his free time he enjoys road biking, golf and time with his family.

Philip Murphy is a Senior Vice President for Miotech. He manages the Indiana team for Miotech as well as running the Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana territory. Philip brings over 15 years experience in Orthopedic Sales. He has received several national awards from the Manufacturers Represented. Prior to joining Miotech, Philip was a Territory Manager in the West Los Angeles territory for Donjoy. After moving from Redondo Beach, CA back to Michigan Philip was a Sales Director at Quicken Loans.

He is a graduate of Ferris State University with a BS in Business, specifically Professional Golf Management. He lives in Marshall, MI along with his wife Robyn, and their two children, Logan and Ryan. In his free time Philip enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.

Cheryl is the newest addition to the Miotech team, beginning her tenure on June 1, 2009. She previously served as a Territory Manager for DonJoy in the Indianapolis area. Cheryl is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where she studied both nursing and business. Prior to joining the Indiana distributorship she served as a broker in the insurance/investment/securities industry.

Cheryl resides in Carmel, Indiana with her husband, Greg. Their two children, John Brett and Callie . She and her family are sports enthusiasts, equally enjoying participating on the field and in the stands.

Peter is the newest addition to the MioTech team, as of June, 2011. He is a resident of East Lansing, Michigan and serves as Territory Manager for North-Central Michigan. Before taking on responsibilities with MioTech, Peter served as Director of Sales and Marketing for AEC Solutions. He drove company sales to a record high his first year with the company, maintaining that level of performance throughout his tenure. During his three year tenure as National Account Manager for Atlas Professional Solutions Peter consistently maintained a position as one of the top two producers.

Peter earned the respect of teammates both on the gridiron and wrestling mat. He was a high school wrestling All-American and earned All-State honors as a high school running back. He began his collegiate career playing football for Western Michigan University before transferring to MacMurray College where he holds several conference rushing records including two at the NCAA level. In his senior season Peter was an All-American and named Male Athlete of the year. Peter excelled in the classroom as well graduating with honors from MacMurray. He later served on the Alumni Board representing the class of 2005.

Matt is in his second year with Miotech Orthopedics as a Territory Manager in the Southern Indianapolis market. He has been working for Miotech Orthopedics since July 27, 2009. Prior to his start with Miotech, Matt worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative specializing in Pain Management.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He currently lives in Indianapolis, IN with his wife Sarah. Matt enjoys golfing, hiking, and training for marathons/triathlons.

Pam is in her 7th year as Office manager for Miotech Orthopedics. Prior to joining Miotech she taught for several years. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a BA in Elementary Education.

Pam has 2 grown children, Michelle a massage therapist in Traverse City MI and Matt an automotive technician in Lansing. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, competing in 5K and 10K races, biking, and hiking. .

Willie Mitchell comes to Miotech after a 17 year coaching career at the NCAA Division I Hockey level. Before his arrival in Early September of this year, he was coaching at the University of Vermont where he helped the team compete in the 2009 Frozen Four. Before Vermont, he also coached at Wayne State University and Michigan State University where he earned his Masters degree in Administration. Willie is now the Territory Manager for the Northeastern region of Indiana and is eager to use his competitive edge and athletic background to transition him into his new career. He currently resides in Carmel, IN with his wife Chantelle and daughter Nadia(1).

Dan Potts is in his fifth year as a sales representative for Miotech, covering Northwestern Michigan. Prior to joining the Miotech team, Dan spent 14 years working for a small medical distribution company. He got his start in the medical field, working for an Orthotics and Prosthetics Company in Muskegon. He has 19 years of experience in the field of orthopedic sales.

Dan attended Michigan State University, graduating in 1990 with a bachelors degree in General Business. He also coached girl’s high school volleyball at Fruitport High School for 16 years, winning a State Championship in 2005. Dan currently resides in Muskegon, MI with his wife, Paula, and two daughters, Kennedy (12) and Logan (7). In his free time, Dan enjoys playing golf and spending time with his kids .

Kraig came to Miotech in 2008 from the Don Joy Distributor in Chicago. Prior to that, he sold Orthopedic and Rehabilitation equipment in Southwest Michigan for 5 years. Kraig graduated from Western State College of Colorado with a BA in Business and Outdoor Leadership. He lives in Valparaiso, IN with his wife Vicki. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf in his free time.

Jaclyn Vicari has been working for MioTech Orthopedics since June 4, 2007 as a sales representative in the greater Mid-Michigan area serving Brighton through Ann Arbor. Prior to working with Miotech, Jaclyn attended Michigan State University where she received a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology along with a Specialization in Health Promotion. Before entering the orthopedic sales field, Jaclyn completed an internship with Miotech Orthopedics. She was able to shadow several of the other sales representatives in order to gain a better understanding of the industry along with the qualities it takes to become successful.

Jaclyn has been involved in athletics at the elite level for the majority of her life, and is able to use her knowledge and personal experience to better help serve her customers. She received an athletic scholarship to Michigan State University, and was a member of the Women’s Gymnastics Team where she was named an Academic All American. Jaclyn lives in Clarkston, Michigan with her husband Dominic. She takes pride in her work ethic, and dedicates herself to complete customer satisfaction.
