Kenneth Zisholz, President/CEO
Upon graduation from Michigan State University in 1991, Ken went to work for the local Smith and Nephew Donjoy Distributor. He covered the southeastern part of the state of Michigan from 1991-2001. His rapid success in this area allowed him to acquire the distribution rights to Michigan, Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio from DJ Orthopedics in the year 2001.

Ken has been the recipient of multiple national awards from every manufacturer he has represented. A charismatic leader, Ken has demonstrated his exceptional talent at putting together and motivating cohesive, dedicated teams.

Dave Baer, Chief Operating Officer, Dave.Baer@miotech.net
Dave is a native of Chicago Illinois and has 25 years of experience in the areas of information technology, finance, and supply chain. He has also worked in the following industries: horticulture, medical devices, and most recently custom automotive.

Dave resides in Grand Ledge with his wife (Andrea) and 13 year old daughter (Gwenyth). For fun, you can fine Dave snowmobiling during the winter, boating in the summer, and spending time with family and friends.

Rod Mayer, EVP Business Development - Rod.Mayer@miotech.net
Mr. Mayer has a thirty three year history in the orthopedic industry with extensive experience in Sales, Distribution and Business Development. He began his career with DePuy in 1977 working as a union employee. In 1979 he became a sales associate for Depuy in Cleveland Ohio and became the youngest Independent Agent when appointed to this position in 1985 at the age of 26. In 9 years under his leadership the Indiana distributorship grew from $580,000 in sales to nearly $11,000,000, winning numerous awards, including Distributor of the Year in 1991 and serving four consecutive two year terms on the President’s Advisory Board. During this period, he founded Lake City Medical a contract manufacturer of orthopedic instruments and implants and served as its President and CEO.

From 1994 to 2002, Mr. Mayer served in various management roles focused in the Orthopedic Industry with an emphasis on Business Development and Strategic Planning. In the fall of 2002 Mr. Mayer founded DVO, a company that was focused on the development and commercialization of orthopedic products for the Extremity Market. Mr. Mayer co-led the development, growth and eventual sale of DVO Extremity Solutions LLC in a private transaction with Tornier (TRNX) that was completed on March 21, 2007. Over the next two years Mr. Mayer served as Vice President of Sales Execution and was a member of the Tornier Executive Management team, reporting to Tornier’s President and CEO. In April of 2009 Mr. Mayer was named as President and CEO of Del Palma Orthopedics a product development company that he co-founded with 3 orthopedic hand surgeons and two industry executives in March of 2008. Rod also serves on the Board of Articulinx and also serves on two nonprofit boards.

Over 20 years of Orthopedic Medical Device Sales. Won several awards for significant sales growth. Graduated from Western Michigan University. While attending Western was Captain of Men's Gymnastics Team. Competed in NCAA National Championships senior year. Coached National and International Competitors in Gymnastics. Lives in Brighton with wife Dawn and Black Lab Dakota. Daughter Katelin and son Bradley both played soccer at the University of Michigan. Private pilot.
Matt comes to MioTech with 1 year Experience selling Tornier Orthopedic Implants. He is a former college basketball player that enjoys the competitive nature of sales. He has a strong sales background from working for companies like PepsiCo and Canon. He lives in Fishers, IN , and is originally a Hoosier. He says he looks forward to helping impact the lives of the patients we ultimately serve in a positive way.
